- The U. S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Electrophysics, Fairfield, New York. GovWorks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the U. S. Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The RTTC has a requirement for the acquisition a 320 x 256 HgCdTe (MCT) Focal Plane Array Radiometric Camera. This requirement consists of 1 each of the following items: Jade High Performance MWIR Thermal Imaging and Measurement System; Calibration of Camera; 12mmF2.0 MWIR Lens; 2MM F2.0 MWIR Lens; and Altair Image Analysis SW Package. The Electrophysics Jade Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) is the only known source that uses MCT substance in their infrared radiometric camera detector. The MCT substance provides superior quality to current technology and it is the only known system that meets all the mid-wave infrared requirements of RTTC. This is not a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
