- Description
- The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a solicitation for the procurement of Marine Boatyard Services and Industrial Support in November 2003. This acquisition requires materials and services necessary in support of specific modifications, upgrades, service life extensions, and repairs for unmanned boats, craft and Service Craft or their associated systems. These requirements will be acquired through the use of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) awarded for work to be performed predominantly on the West Coast of the United States. NAVSEA intends to 1) award an IDIQ MAC with a minimum guarantee, and 2) then compete subsequent delivery orders among those firms that are awarded the contract. The Government intends to award this contract to Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZONE) small businesses only, solici ted on a coast-wide basis. Each successful offeror shall be required to be a certified Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holder prior to contract award. The purpose of this announcement is to seek industry interest in this procurement.
