- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service issues the following solicitation notice for A-76 Competitive Sourcing Study of Campus Center Operations. The solicitation will be available the week of September 29, 2003 at the following IRS internet site: http://www.procurement.irs.treas.gov (under Business Opportunities). The Campus Center Operations will comply with OMB Circular A-76 of May 29, 2003. Per the instructions of the circular the following information is provided. Campus Center Operations consist of ten locations nation wide. The ten Campus Centers are located at Andover, MA; Chamblee, GA; Fresno, CA; Memphis, TN; Philadelphia, PA; Cincinnati ?Covington, KY?; Holtsville, NY; Kansas City, MO; Ogden, UT; and Austin, TX. Each Campus Center Operations location primarily supports one Computing Center. The Martinsburg Computing Center, Martinsburg, WV is supported by Andover, Austin, Brookhaven, Ogden and Philadelphia. Tennessee Computing Center, Memphis, TN is supported by Atlanta, Cincinnati, Fresno, Kansas City and Memphis. Campus Center Operations functions consists of (1) Work control; (2) File transmission; (3) Print operations; (4) Data processing support; (5) Magnetic Media support. The type of competition will be a standard competition. The Government is currently performing the work. The number of Government personnel performing the activity is 377. The Competition Officials are Competitive Sourcing Official, Ms.Teresa Ressel, Contracting Officer Mr. Dennis E. Smiley, and Agency Tender Official Mr. Al Whitley. The projected end date of the standard competition shall be September 30, 2004. Request for Proposals are due January 29, 2004. The solicitation under this A-76 Competitive Sourcing study will be conducted under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), 518210 Data Processing Services, which establishes a small business size standard of $21.0M. Teaming arrangements, subcontracting and mentor prot?g? programs are encouraged. All comments should be provided in accordance with Section L of the solicitation.
