Description

SOLICITATION CO4018/RWB STRATEGIC ALLIANCES & RISK ASSESSMENT The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking an advisor with expertise in public sector financing, public/private partnerships, public transit and utility funding, transportation economics, national transportation and tax policy, real estate development, and an overall knowledge of the public transport sector. Further, the Advisor should have demonstrated knowledge of current Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funding practices, and FTA and American Public Transportation Association (APTA) initiatives to change transit funding practices. The advisor will assist WMATA to develop appropriate business strategies to assist in the optimization of its assets by capturing the full value of such assets through the development of partnerships or other structural arrangements (1) to leverage its fixed and non-fixed assets, (2) to capture the value of Metrobus and Metrorail provided to non-users throughout the region, and (3) to develop new funding sources to allow WMATA to achieve long-term capital and operating goals. The deadline for the receipt of proposals is October 20, 2003 at 2:00pm. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be conducted commencing promptly at 9:30am on October 10, 2003. Pre-registration for that conference is required.
