Description
United States Department of Energy Isotopes Program NE-40 Invitation for Bids to Purchase Helium 3-gas The U.S. Department of Energy has declared 95800 liters of helium 3-gas to be competitively sold. The Department wishes to sell the helium-3 to the highest Offeror in a competitive bid process. The helium-3 is stored in cylinders containing approximately 4000 liters of helium each. The cylinders are designed to USDOT specifications and contain helium-3 at a pressure between 1300 ? 1500 psig. The helium-3 is offered FCA, U.S. Department of Energy, Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina. DOE?s Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the purchase of up to 95,800 liters of helium-3 gas is scheduled to be posted on via The U.S. Department of Energy Industry Interactive Procurement system (IIPS) on October 15, 2003. The entire IFB will be available for downloading from the Internet via the ?Industry Interactive Procurement System? (IIPS) home page located at the Internet address: http://doe-iips.pro.doe.gov/. To review the IFB, follow the Business Opportunities link from this page. Bidders must register via the IIPS web site prior to submitting proposals or bids. Instruction on how to submit your proposal/bids electronically can be found in the help document, which is located at http://doe-iips.pr.doe.gov/. For technical assistance offerors should call 1-(800) 683-9751 or e-mail the IIPS administrator at iips@pr.doe.gov. Bidders shall submit bids to Ms. Juanita Ellis, Contracting Officer, U. S. Department of Energy, L? Enfant Plaza Building, ME-643.1, via The U.S. Department of Energy Industry Interactive Procurement system (IIPS). Bidders will have the opportunity to request clarifications of any technical or contractual items before submitting their bids. All questions must be submitted via IIPS no later than October 31, 2003. Bids/Proposals must be received through the Secured Services option at the IIPS web site not later then 3:00 P.M. Local (Washington, DC) prevailing time on November 14, 2003.
