- NA The John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) is hosting an 8(a) Small Business Open House and Technical Exchange on October 23, 2003. The Volpe Center is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA). The Volpe Center is reaching out to the 8(a) small business community by conducting outreach sessions to provide information on programs that will offer procurement opportunities. This Open House and Exchange will provide an opportunity for the Volpe technical staff to meet one-on-one with the representatives of 8(a) companies. The Open House and Exchange will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Building 2, Room 120 of the DOT/RSPA/Volpe Center, 55 Broadway, Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA 02142 on T hursday, October 23, 2003. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The Volpe Center is looking for expertise in the following areas: Operations Research and Analysis (ORA); Information Technology Support; Clerical/Administrative Support; Environmental Engineering; Physical Security; Transportation Planning, Traffic Analysis; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) including Independent Verification and Validation testing. Space is limited to the first forty (40) companies. In the interest of providing maximum exposure to the most companies, attendance is limited to not more than two (2) representatives from each company.
