- NA CONTACT George Bass, 732-532-8609. This market survey is to locate sources for a Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) requirement to upgrade their Automated Data Terminals. The intent is to locate sources for Command & Control (C2) messaging and Situation Awareness (SA) software and ruggedized notebook computers that can interface to and transmit over a variety of technologies, to include High Frequency (HF) (Harris RF-5000), Very High Frequency (VHF) Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGAR S), Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), Wire Line (serial-serial, switched voice, or Ethernet) and dial-up systems. The ruggedized notebook computers and software should have dual Arabic and English language capability and be d ust proof and shock/vibration resistant. SANG is interested in products that can support RFC-822 and HTML messaging (with attachments), and include the capability for Variable Messaging Format (VMF) messaging. Terminals should be provided with Microsoft Windows (XP preferred) and the necessary interfaces to support communication over the aforementioned systems, as well as provide the following interfaces (in order of preference) - USB, Serial, Firewire (IEEE 1394), and parallel. The system must be provid ed with facsimile, printer and scanner capabilities. It should be able to be operated both while on-the-move, from within the vehicle, and dismounted (outside and up to 100ft away from the vehicle) while in a command center. In addition, the software shou ld be capable of transmitting, receiving, and processing SA and C2 messages in near-real time; provide a ??????Current Operational Picture?????? display based on SA and C2 data entered locally and/or received from subordinate and peer nodes; interface to a nd automatically utilize time, elevation and coordinate information obtained from a Global Positioning System (GPS) terminal.
