- Description
- The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) has a requirement for a Promega PowerPlex 16 System, 400rx. This requirement is being issued by Gov.Works under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior on behalf of the AFIP in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Promega Corporation for this requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The PowerPlex 16 is currently the only kit available that contains the loci penta-D and penta-E, which add significantly to the discrimination power of the system. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
