- GOVERNMENT SOURCES SOUGHT / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is a sources sought announcement only. A solicitation will not be issued as a result of this announcement. A new announcement will be published if a solicitation is developed. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Florida is seeking potential sources for a multi-purpose adhesive(s) with capability to be applied both in air and underwater (sea and fresh) to an array of surfaces (concrete, metals, etc) in various states of condition. The adhesive(s) must have a quick initial set time of no more than 15-30 seconds and capable of reaching working strength shortly after cure when exposed to normal ambient and extreme environmental conditions - such as seawater down to 28 degree Fahrenheit. In addition, the adhesive must have a shelf-life of up to two years and have no special stor age requirements. After application, the adhesive must have a working (service) life of at least 8 months. Both off-the-shelf adhesives and promising developmental approaches will be considered.
