Description
THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR DTCG80-04-Q-3FAU93, POSTED ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2003 IS MODIFIED TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION. THE DATES PROVIDED IN THE FIRST MODIFICATION POSTED ON OCTOBER 1, 2003 REMAIN UNCHANGED; THIS IS MODIFICATION TWO (2) TO THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS RAISED ON SOLICITATION DTCG80-04-Q-3FAU93, HANGAR DOOR REPAIRS. 1. The contractor is responsible for the removal from the base and disposal of the removed equipment. 2. The Gear Box to be replaced is the CYCLO-GYROMETER, speed reducer gear from the door barrel gearbox. 3. While work is ongoing to remove or re-install the hangar door and associated parts, the Contractor can submit any Condition Found Reports (CFR?s), as deemed necessary. The Coast Guard will review and provide a response to any CFR?s submitted. 4. The Contractor can utilize any salvageable parts from the old door during the installation of the new door on the vessel. 5. The Contractor will need to complete the installation of the new hangar door and associated parts by the close of business, on FRIDAY, Nov. 14, 2003. 6. The vessel will provide electrical power to the Contractor. The Contractor will need to provide crane service, staging (rigging) and any other labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work required in the combined synopsis solicitation, as posted in the FEDBIZOPS on 9/30/03 and the subsequent modification posted to the FEDBIZOPS on 10/1/03.
