Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as request for proposal No. DCA300-04-R-0001. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16. The standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 7378, $18M. Contract Line Items: ITEM 0001, Tier 3, Tekelec?s Extended Warranty Service, Hardware and Software Upgrade Options, Plus Hardware Repair & Return, TSC Access & Software Problem Resolution. Elmendorf AFB/Fort Wainwright AK Pair, 3 years. ITEM 0002, Tier 3, Tekelec's Extended Warranty Serivce, Hardware and Software Upgrade Options, Plus Hardware Repair & Return, TSC Access & Software Problem Resolution. Camp Courtney/Fort Buckner Okinawa Pair, 3 years. ITEM 0003, Tier 3, Tekelec's Extended Warranty Service, Hardware and Software Upgrade Options, Plus Hardware Repair & Return, TSC Access & Software Problem Resolution. Yokota/Camp Zama Japan Pair, 3 years. ITEM 0004, Tier 3, Tekelec's Extended Warranty Service, Hardware and Software Upgrade Options, Plus Hardware Repair & Return, TSC Access & Software Problem Resolution. Camp Walker/Yongsan Main Korea Pair, 3 years. ITEM 0005, Tier 3, Tekelec's Extended Warranty Service, Hardware and Software Upgrade Options, Plus Hardware Repair & Return, TSC Access & Software Problem Resolution. Fort Huachuca Arizona Pair, 3 years. Billing will be prorated on an annual basis. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the low, responsible, responsive offeror. The offeror shall submit a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commerical Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer?Central Contractor Registration. FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, As amended. FAR 52.222-42, Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) is not applicable to this acquisition. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
