- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Phoenix, Arizona, intends to make a single award for the provision of bicycle repair classes at the Federal Prison Camp in Phoenix, Arizona. This proposed contract will be set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519, with a small business size standard of $6.0 million. The contract term shall consist of a base period extending from the date of award through September 30, 2004 with four (4) subsequent, 12-month option periods for renewal, if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide bicycle repair instruction consistent with community standards. Classes will be provided for inmates who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. A course is equal to twelve (12) weeks, consisting of two (2) sessions per week. A session is equal to three (3) hours. A maximum of 96 sessions is estimated for a 12-month period. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 10, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 24, 2003. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote which will be considered. See numbered note 1.
