Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the Rental of Four (4) Each 150 KW Heater Units for an estimated 12 weeks each and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written quotation WILL NOT be issued. This announcement is issued as request for quotation N00102-04-Q-1612. The standard NAICS classification is 532490. This quotation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14 with changes effective June 23, 2003. The DFARS is current as of June 20, 2003 and inclusive of DCN20030214 (cases 2002-D031, 2002-D034, 2002-D042 and technical amendments) effective June 20, 2003. 1. Rental of Four (4) Heater units. The Contractor shall provide a WEEKLY Ren tal Rate. The Contractor shall provide a firm fixed price regardless of the hours used. The rental price shall include round trip transportation, set-up and training by the Contractor. 2. The Heater Units (150 KW, 3 Phase, 180 Amp, 480 VAC, 60 Hz) shall be delivered in first class operating condition. The units shall have no visible fluid leaks during operation or sitting idle. Each Unit shall include a pair of (20 Inch Diameter x 25 Foot Long) flexible ducts for Unit air return and air supply. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible for equipment failure not arising out of abuse or negligence by the Government. All spare parts, any filters and maintenance shall be provided at no additional charge. The Contractor shall be responsible for all routine maintenance. 4. The Heater Units shall be portable and easily moved by overhead crane without special handling gear. The Contractor shall clearly indicate the weight of the unit, and the center of gravity, and the lift points. The units shall also be easily moved by Forklift. The units shall be designed for outside operations, exposed to snow, wind and rain in a ?10 degree to 100 degree F environment. They shall meet all OSH and NEC code requirements for this type of equipment. 5. In the event of a breakdown, service shall be provided within four (4) hours after notification by the Contracting Officer or his/her representative. In the event the equipment cannot be returned to service within twelve (12) hours, the Contractor shall provide a replacement to the Government at no extra charge. 6. No changes to the specifications unless authorized by the CONTRACTING OFFICER. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are requested to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 and 252-212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items, with quotations. The following clauses/provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (including 52.222-21, 52.222-22, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 and 52.225-3), and 252.212-7001.
