Description

NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, (USAYPG), AZ intends to negotiate with General Atomics 3550 General Atomics Court, San Diego CA 92121-1122 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract requirement is for dismantling, shipping, refurbishment of an Erie Hydraulic Press, design control systems and provide installation support and training of a cryofracture facility test bed at the USAYPG. General Atomics is the original equipment designer, integrator of the cryofracture equipment and control instruments and possesses the proprietary schematics and specifications for this system. All technical data relative to the system is proprietary to General Atomics. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government requirement no later than 2:00 PM 04 November 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Due to the fact the components of this system are commercial in nature Note 22 which applies, time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 30 days instead of 45 days.
