- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following items: 1) Collection and manipulation of field geophysical data within and adjacent to the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA and, if necessary, the Naval Air Station (NAS), Fallon, Nevada at established benchmarks. Project scope includes: (1) data gathering at several remote sites; (2) reduction, statistical analysis, and presentation of data; (3) maintenance (inspection, calibration, and adjustment) of data gathering equipment; (4) training of Geothermal Program Office (GPO) personnel on the operation, maintenance, and calibration of the GPO- owned gravimeters; and (5) the gathering and reduction of gravity data, and providing the trainees with a visual inspection of all benchmarks on the Coso and NAS Fallon Gravity Networks. Note that benchmark inspections will occur at NAS Fallon only if that survey is required. This requirement is sole sourced to Charlie Rodgers, 1240 South Sierra View, Ridgecrest, CA 93555 as the only vendor with the expertise to perform this project. Any firms believing that they can provide the services may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm?s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the Geophysical Data Support without causing programmatic hardship.
