- Description
- This is a synopsis for ship repair per FAR Subpart 13.5 ? Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is DTCG80-03-Q-3FA044. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Past Performance, and Price will be used to evaluate offers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation is issued as a HUBZone Set-aside, only SBA Certified HUBZone vendors will be considered for award. The RFQ package and specifications will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about October 8 2003 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please note that paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. The acquisition is for the dockside repair of the USCGC CYPRESS (WLB 210) whose homeport is: c/o USCG BASE, South Broad Street, Mobile, AL 36615-1390. Repairs are to be performed at the vessel?s homepier. The work will include, but is not limited to: Base items: (0001) Clean and inspect diesel fuel marine tanks; (0002) Clean and inspect ballast tanks; (0003) Clean and inspect sewage and holding tanks; (0004) Preserve buoy deck; (0005) Reseal latex terrazzo covering system; (0006) Relocate reducing valves; (0007) Inspect and test anchor windlass (level 1); (0008) Overhaul auxiliary sea water pumps unit; (0009) Inspect and test warping capstan (level 1); (0010) Overhaul sewage pump assembly; (0011) Calibrate gauges and meters; (B) Government Furnished Property Report; (C) Travel and Per Diem. Option items: (0005AA) Repair damaged unsealed areas; (A) Composite Labor Rate. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Vendors are required to submit copies of up-to-date welding procedures and welder certifications with their quote. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested hard copies of drawings. Drawings will be available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request.
