Description
PR-No.: IQC03239009034, NSN 1430012056877, Remover, Dust. A 12-month (365) days indefinite quantity type contract is anticipated. The only approved sources are Falcon Safety Products (02670) P/N DPNXL and Tech Spray P/N 1671-10S. All shipments are to be conus. Increments solicited; 3000-6000, 6001-9,000, 9001-12,000, 12,001-15,000, 15,001-18,000, 18,001-21,000. FOB is destination; this solicitation is an RDP and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dsccols.com/rfp. On it?s issue date 10/13/03. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. In addition to the packaging requirements included in the commodity specification listed below. The supplies shall comply with applicable packaging requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) technical instructions for the safe transportation of dangerous goods by air. The International maritime dangerous goods code (IMDG CODE> and Title Forty Nine of the Code of Federal Regulations, 49 CFR. To the extent that there is conflict between the requirements of the commodity specification and other packaging data listed below and the requirements of ICAO and IMDG. The provisions in ICAO and IMDG will control over the conflicting provisions in the commodity specification and other packaging data. Unless otherwise specified by the procuring activity. Interior and exterior containers of hazardous material shall be properly classified, documented, certified, described, packaged, marked, and labeled in accordance with ICAU, IMDG, 49 CFR, and MIL-STD-129. All performance test requirements shall be supported by certificates and reports attesting to the date and data results obtained from performance oriented packaging testing. The contractors which do not self certify shall be responsible for assuring that third party sources providing performance testing services are in fact registered with the department of transportation (DOT). Performance oriented packaging is applicable to all classes of hazardous material excluding radioactive material, cylinders and other receptacles for compressed gases. Packaging with a net mass exceeding 882 pounds and packages with a capacity exceeding 118.8 gallons. All certificates and reports shall be available for inspection by an authorized government representative for a period of not less than 3 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
