- Description
- The government intends to award an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract, with firm fixed unit priced time and material pricing arrangements to provide overflow stevedoring services to assist the Government in handling Defense Sponsored Cargo and other services delegated to the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA, Cheatham Annex, Yorktown, other military installations and commercial ocean terminals in the Hampton Roads Area (Norfolk International Terminal, Portsmouth Marine Terminal and Newport News Marine Terminal. The Contractor shall arrange for and provide stevedoring, terminal and other related services thereto including labor, supervision, materials and equipment when ordered by the Government. The contract covers two separate work categories and equipment rental. The work categories are Shipboard Operations and Miscellaneous Services as detailed in the statement of work included in solicitation N00189-03-R-0027. Current contract subject to Collective Bargaining Agtreement. The solicitation will include provisions for a base year period, beginning 1 October 2003 and ending 30 September 2004; with the option to procure overflow services for four additional one-year periods. The solicitation will contain FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and will be issued as full and open competition. Solicitation issuance is anticipated on 02 July 2003. No hard copy of the solicitation will be issued.
