- Description
- NAICS Code: 541990 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD) Energy Star Building Branch (ESBB) intends to award a sole source fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the Association of Energy Services Professionals International (AESP) of Jupiter, FL under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain support from the AESP to develop, organize, market and implement a conference on issues related to the marketing of energy efficient products and services promoting energy efficient building practices in the U.S. The AESP is uniquely qualified to meet this requirement due to the fact that it is the only known nonprofit organization that provides leadership throughout the energy service marketplace by supporting professional development, tools and information dedicated to the advancement of best practices, national conferences, seminars, training, and the publication of professional papers. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541990. It has been determined that because of the ability of AESP to reach a diversified audience including state governments, utilities professionals, consulting firms and energy service companies, it is the only vendor uniquely qualified to meet this requirement. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Jami Rodgers via e-mail at rodgers.jami@epa.gov. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is not expected to exceed $10,000.00. Response Time: 12:00 PM EDT, October 17, 2003.
