- Description
- Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to negotiate as an emergency on a sole make and model basis all or none, with Value Added Resellers (VARs) of EADS hardware/software/installation for the procurement of disaster recovery tolerant telephone switch hardware and software for the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) facilities located in the Intergraph Complex located in Madison County; Madison, Alabama. The telephone switch is critical to the functionality and connectivity of three offsite programs: Orbital Space Plane (OSP), Integrated Financial Management (IFM), and Marshall Institution Training. OSP and IFM are both high visibility/mission critical programs for NASA Headquarters, the NASA Agency, and Marshall Space Flight Center. CSC intends to purchase these items from Value Added Resellers (VARs) of EADS hardware and software pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, which implements the statutory authority at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) for acquisition of a specific make, model, or services available from only one or a limited number of sources. Interested firms have until Oct 14, 2003 4:00 PM CDST to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the attached Request for Quote, and all associated paper work per the special instructions. Responses received after Oct 14, 2003 4:00 PM CDST without the required information will be considered non responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Computer Sciences Corporation to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Computer Sciences Corporation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ), Statement of Work (SOW) Attachment A, Attachment B PointSpan Tech Spec, Table 01-03 SOW MSFC Hardware BOM, Table 04-05 SOW MSFC Software BOM, and Table 06 MSFC Installation and Implementation Requirements located in the attached files and includes complete description and part numbers together with Representation and Certifications, and CSC Terms and Conditions and all attachments must be completed in order for consideration. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the WWW who wish to obtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis, please access said information at http://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by this office. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. All responsible sources may submit an offer by the required date which shall be considered by Computer Sciences Corporation.
