Description

Containerized Seedling Production for the Mt. Hood and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests. This Solicitation is for the production, packing and delivery of container grown tree seedlings and native plants, to be referred to as seedlings in remainder of contract, from Government-furnished seed for both the Wallowa-Whitman and the Mt. Hood National Forests. Both fall and winter extraction seasons are prescribed. The Government's Estimate is between $100,000 to $250,000. The estimate includes the Base Year and four Option Years. The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract and may at its discretion, make multiple awards. The work is to take place between October 1 and September 30, of each Option Yearthat is exercised. For physiological reasons correlated to the nursery-outplant site climate inter-relationship, the location where the seedlings may be produced shall be located in Oregon or Washington, or within 200 miles of these stated boundaries. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION-The Contractor shall deliver to the locations identified in the sowing orders. Sowing orders will require delivery of seedlings to the following Forests within Oregon-Mt. Hood National Forest, Western Oregon. Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Eastern Oregon. The NAICS Code is 113210. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered. Contract will be posted on this site only on or about October 24, 2003.
