- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) develops, operates and maintains a network of buoys and C-MAN stations for the National Weather Service (NWS) at the John C. Stennis Space Center, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. NDBC is conducting market research to determine the availability, and identification of small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone businesses in the surrounding area as potential contractors and/or subcontractors in support of NDBC's mission. Additional information about NDBC's mission is available on the following website: http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov. In advance of the potential re-competition for the NDBC technical services contract which expires June 30, 2005, NDBC is seeking the identity of small businesses with capabilities in the following areas: engineering support; warehouse operation; material and mail/transportation/shipping and receiving; aluminum and steel fabrication; preparation of technical publications, documents, and public affairs exhibits; office automation operation and maintenance, and help desk support; computer security; and information technology operations and maintenance. Interested small businesses are requested to provide short capability statements including business size and applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code(s) by October 28, 2003, to the following address: National Data Buoy Center Attn: Penny S.
