Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Detention Center, Miami, Florida, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of one (1) Bilingual Protestant Minister for the Federal Detention Center, Miami, Florida. Services will be provided to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract term shall consist of a base period from the date of award through twelve (12) months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide services which include, but are not limited to the following: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Protestant Minister- provide instruction and counsel peculiar to the faith and practice of Protestant Christianity, and will coordinate adjunctive services to augment those provided by the Religious Services Department. The contractor must have theological training required by his/her denomination and be ordained Protestant Minister in good standing with in his/her denomination. There will be a minimum of three (3), one (1) sessions per week. The number of hours per week for any service will not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 10, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizzopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about November 20, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
