- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for repair of five Climatronics components (Remote Station p/n 102374, Master Station p/n 102376, Master Station Transceiver p/n 102393, Display Selection Device p/n 102394, and Tracon Display p/n 102367) in support of the Low Level Windshear Alerting System-Relocation and Sustainment (LLWAS-RS). The LLWAS-RS system detects the presence of low altitude microburst activity in the vicinity of an airport. The ability to detect and report microburst activity is critical to aircraft operations primarily in the takeoff and landing phases of flight. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings to perform the required repairs. The contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer???s (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof for rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey should respond with their documentation in writing to: Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center P.O. Box 25082 Attn: AMQ-210/Connie M. Houpt Oklahoma City, OK 73125 Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File #0323120, to arrive by October 22, 2003. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. Individual company responses will not be disclosed to other vendors. This announcement is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal. All responses to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
