Description
DESCRIPTION: Provide Employee Health Services to include: (1) Approximately .25 Full Time Employee Equivalent (FTEE) Manager/Instructor, to: train physicians and staff in official compensation and pension procedures; develop protocols, policies and procedures as necessary; monthly in-service physician staff meetings; QA and training; cooperative training/regular meetings with the VA Regional Office, and (2) provide an estimated 2-3 FTE Occupational Medicine physicians, board eligible/certified with residency training experienced in: environmental toxin exposures; radiation; herbicides; pesticides; environmental illness; occupational disease and injury; pre-placement examinations; drug screen medical review (MRO certified); and impairment and disability evaluation. Although estimated FTEEs are provided, this is for contractor use in estimating staffing and is not a mandatory requirement. OTHER SERVICES: ergonomic consultation assistance for VA employee work stations/activities; drug screen program review and development; pre-placement physical examination review and development for an ADA compliant program; and job description analysis and development assistance. VA will provide sufficient nursing/administrative staff to efficiently process patients. WORKLOAD ANALYSIS: Requires staffing sufficient to complete up to 85 examinations per week or approximately 4,200 per year, to include C&P exams, pre-placement exams, Agent Orange, employee health, POW and injured employees. Psych, audio, optho are not included. HOURS: The Employee Health Clinic to be staffed by the OM physicians Monday through Friday, 9-5, except Federal holidays. CONTRACT TYPE: This is a firm fixed price contract, for one base year and two option years. Evaluation criteria will be provided in the solicitation. This is a ?best value? acquisition. The solicitation is issued for commercial items subject to negotiation procedures in FAR Part 15. NOTE: This acquisition is competitive and UNRESTRICTED. The NAICS code for this procurement is 62111.
