Description

NA The Portland District, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a contract to the Sprint United Telephone Company of the Northwest, 902 Wasco Street, Hood River, Oregon 97031 for maintenance of Government-owned Meridan 1 option 61 and 11 at The Dalles Dam loca tion and option 21 at the John Day Dam location. Emergency Technical Assistance Support (ETAS) from Northern Telecom is mandatory. On site response to The Dalles Dam within 2 hours and John Day Dam within 2 1/2 hours is also mandatory. This is a firm-fixed price contract for a base plus four (4) option years. Statutory authority for Other Than Full and Open Competition exists at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize and can furnish the required service(s) are encouraged to identify the mselves to the Contracting Officer for consideration. Request for Quotation number DACW57-03-Q-0141 is available on or about October 22, 2003 and closes on or about November 7, 2003. If no affirmative response(s) are received to the effect that this is ava ilable from another authorized supplier at a lower cost then an award will be made to the aforementioned contractor.
