Description
NA The U. S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to purchase four (4) modular building units for the U.S. Army Medical Research Materiel Command, Fort Detrick, MD. The solicitation number is W81XWH-04-R-0001. This is a combined synopsis/solic itation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals a re being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-16. This requirement is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 236220; small business size standard is $28.5 million. The Contract Line Item (CLIN): 0001 Four (4) Modular Trailer Units 12 ft x 60 ft units (2160 gsf total) to hold 14 people; CLIN 0002 Handicapped Wood Ramp (ADA and Uniform Code of Accessibility compl iant); CLIN 0003 Wood Stairs in accordance with the following Statement of Work (SOW): Requirements. Purchase four (4) modular trailer units to temporarily meet immediate needs. Installation and siting of the modular units received concept and final approv al. A concept trailer layout is available for review at www.usamraa.army.mil; select RFP??????s not online and look for Attachment 1 to W81XWH-04-R-0001. Proposals should include the customer requirements listed below: Four (4) 12ft x 60ft units (2160 gs f total), to hold 14 people. Conference room ?????? enough space for 15 people (est. 240sf max.). Ten (10) Private offices. Drop acoustical ceiling with recessed lighting. Two (2) restrooms (dual use) (ADA compliant). Wood Ramp (ADA and Uniform Code of Accessibility compliant). Wood Stairs. 2 x 4 stud grade exterior and interior walls, R-11 min. insulated, gypsum. Floor - 100 lb/sf load capacity, insulated, R-19 min., 2X4 support and insulated mate line seams. Roof - No columns (single span), R-22 min. insulated. Perimeter frame. Window blinds. Break room with refrigerator, sink, counter space and cabinets for storage. Copy/fax/supply/storage center ?????? room with closable door for noise minimization and adequate ventilation to keep room cool. Reinforc ed floor in copy/storage area to support fireproof files (250 lb/sf load capacity min). Noise management measures, i.e. drop ceiling, having offices w/2 people rather than just cubicles, acoustic (sound absorbing) materials used wherever possible. Cleaning Closet/utility room. Well-insulated walls (internal and external) for temperature stability and noise minimization. Specific details of the trailer site and utility hookups will be coordinated with the Fort Detrick Directorate of Installation Services. A ttachment 2 shows the general site location, which can be viewed at www.usamraa.army.mil. Delivery shall be no later than 30 December 2003. A pre-proposal site visit has been scheduled for 22 October 2003 at 10:00 AM, E.S.T. Provisions at 42.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial. 52.212.2 Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable. The technical criteria used to determine an award shall be the offeror who submits the proposal that is considered technically acceptable and lowest overall price. Please include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The following clause s are applicable in the resultant contract award: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions, 52.212-5, contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items and 252.209-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items.
