- Description
- This project involves making improvements and modifications to two existing campgrounds and one horse camp trailhead in the Ten Lakes Scenic Area on the Fortine Ranger District, Kootenai N.F. The work involves clearing, grubbing, excavation and embankment for modifications of existing structures and some new construction of camp unit spurs, trails and use areas as well as realignment of roadway. Also included is the installation of government furnished picnic tables, fire rings, parking bumpers, unit number posts, toilet building with vault and relocation of one existing toilet building and vault. The contract includes haul and placement of government furnished aggregate materials on the area roads, camp spurs, trails and use areas. In addition the contract includes furnishing and installing pipe horse tie racks, feed/hitch racks and wood loading ramp. The Government estimates the value of this project to be between $25,000 and $100,000. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for 28 Oct 2003.
