- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request For Quotation No. 04SQ170236. This is 100 percent Total Small Business Set-A-Side. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811310, $5.0M size standard. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation is to be extended to vendors wishing to quote on furnishing all parts, labor and equipment necessary to recondition the Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Coulee Power Office's Pumping Units, P-1 through P-6, Exciters. Each Exciter Motor/Generator set assembled weighs approximately 4.5 tons. Dimensions are approximately 8 feet long and 5 feet in diameter. (The Main Exciter and Pilot Exciter armature windings are physically located on the same shaft.) Two of the complete exciter assemblies consist of: The Main Exciter Armature rated at 175kW, 250 VDC, 700 amp DC, General Electric Mfg., Field windings for Main Exciter, Pilot Exciter Armature, 5kW, 250 VDC, 20 amp DC, Field windings for Pilot Exciter, Exciter Synchronous Drive Motor Armature winding (stationary position), 300 hp, 6900 Volts, 24 amps, 100 percent P.F., 3 Phase, 50 cycles, 1185 rpm, percent load 100, hours 24, degree Centigrade temp rise 40. Exciter Drive Motor Field winding (rotating postion). Four of the complete exciter assemblies consist of: Main Exciter Armature, rated 125kW, 250 VDC, 500 amp DC, Westinghouse Mfg., Field winding for Main Exciter, Pilot Exciter Armature, 3kW, 250 VDC, 12 amp DC, Field winding for Pilot Exciter, Exciter Synchronous Drive Motor Armature winding (stationary position), 200 hp, 6900 Volts, 15 amps, 100 percent P.F., 3 Phase, 60 cycles, 1187 rmp, percent load 100, hours 24, degree Centrigrade temp rise 40. Exciter Drive Motor Field winds (rotating position). All six Exciters require installing a new 10 foot long lead on the Synchronous Drive Motor. Vendor must furnish labor, equipment and materials to test in accordance with test forms as provided at time of award: Main Exciter, Pilot Exciter and Synchronous Drive Motor. Furthermore, vendors must furnish all freight, parts, labor, and equipment to Re-Babbitt the four bearings on all six Exciter sets with new Babbitt material. This includes the Motor inboard/outboard bearings and the Generator inboard/outboard bearings. Babbitt used must meet or exceed ASTM Grade No. 2 Babbitt. Vendor must provide an ultrasonic test showing at a minimum of 90 percent bond on Babbitt to bearing base metal. Documentation of test results must be provided. Successful Vendor will have a 2 week notice prior to pick up date of first exciters, with an expected delivery return date in a maximum of 6 weeks.
