Description

The work consists of completing the partially constructed earthen embankment dam in the Homochitto National Forest. The major items of work are: Clearing, Class C, Auxiliary Spillway Exit - 1 lump sum; Pollution Control - 1 lump sum; Straw Bale Filters - 3,730 L.F.; Protective Cover - 125 Ac.; Construction Surveys - 1 lump sum; Mobilization & Demobilization - 1 lump sum; Sediment Removal - 1 lump sum; Waste Material Removal - 1 lump sum; Excavation, Common - 25,000 C.Y.; Earthfill - 40,000 C.Y.; Embankment Erosion Rill Repair - 1 lump sum; Auxiliary Spillway Erosion Rill Repair - 1 lump sum; Repair of Eroded Areas - 1 lump sum; Placement of Topsoil on Auxiliary Spillway - 150,000 S.Y.; Placement of Topsoil (Designated Areas) - 89,000 S.Y.; Corrugated Metal Pipe Structure - 1 lump sum; Quality Control - 1 lump sum; Geotextile - 18,000 S.Y.; Field Office Facility - 1 lump sum; Construction Access Road - 1 lump sum; Removing Cellular Concrete Blocks - 1 lump sum; Furnishing Cellular Concrete Blocks - 110,000 S.F.; Placing Cellular Concrete Blocks - 156,000 S.F.; Repair of Box Conduit Joints 4 & 7 - 1 lump sum; Crushed Limestone - 240 C.Y. This work is to be completed within 303 calendar days. Estimated price range for this work is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation documents will be available on or about October 31, 2003.
