Description
Below is the Performance Work Statement that will appear in Solicitation, which will be posted in the near future. All offerors must be CCR registered. Registration can be accomplished at www.ccr.gov. Please note that this position is part-time and will not exceed 110 unit hours per year. LUKE AFB 0830 GOSPEL PROTESTANT WORSHIP LEADER PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (1) Duties And Responsibilities: The Worship Leader will: (a) Recruit, organize and train volunteer choir in support of the 0830 Gospel Worship service. (b) Select and purchase musical needs for choir (c) Coordinate all musical selections and performances with approval of chaplain assigned to pastor 0830 Gospel Worship Service. (d) Lead congregational singing. (e) Plan annual Choir Retreats to enhance choir?s presentations and spiritual community. (f) Attend annual Parish Advisory Council planning retreat to establish yearly schedule of events. (g) Meet monthly with Service chaplain to review plans for worship and address choir needs. (h) Schedule facility needs with NCOIC or appropriate Chaplain Assistant. (i) Not exceed 110 annual units. Two units will be authorized each week ? 1 performance, 1 rehearsal. (j) Arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to the start of the service. (k) Assist in other musical programs performed within the Protestant parish and total Chapel parish. (l) Be neatly attired, well groomed, and act in a professional manner. (2) Qualifications: The Senior Protestant will conduct an interview and an audition. Requirements are an individual with dynamic pulpit presentation who preferably has a Bachelor of Arts degree; minimum of 2 years experience as Gospel choir director or worship leader; able to lead congregation in various songs and choruses; able to provide musical instruction in reading music as well as directing choir. (3) Equipment/Supplies: Requirements for music supplies will be submitted in writing (Fund Request Forms) to the chaplain responsible for the service at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the required date. Forms will include: date, number required, costs and suggested source. Contractor will also prepare an annual budget for such supplies and equipment. (4) Security Of Facility: The contractor will ensure after each rehearsal that the choir area used is returned to its original condition ( i.e. books either returned to rack or neatly stored away, microphones, chords and stands are put in storage, papers from music and bulletins removed.) and that the facility are properly secured and locked upon departure. For each weekend worship service he/she needs only to ensure the choir/practice area used is neat and returned to its original condition.
