NA SIC Code: 1542; NAIC: 233320; FSC Code: Y299 ** POC: Technical Butch Usher (912) 652-5597 FAX (912) 652-5090,Contract Specialist Linda Elliott (912) 652-5076 Fax (912) 652-5828 ** Request information from contractors that have utilized Ballistic Wall Sys tems. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, GA is seeking information for a Protacts Military Grade Wall (ten feet high 3/8 inch AR 500 ballistic plate steel wall, plate steel supporting tubing, plate steel support angle, connection bolts and anchor s, with 2 inch ballistic rubber), with ballistic re-cycled rubber block to eight feet high and required compression hardware, and grip strip grating with necessary railing and stairs. Major requirement is that all ballistic components of the proposed non- ricochet and non-splatter and round defeating, encapsulating system must have been, tested and approved through the Research and Development Unit for materials/equipment for the U. S. Army, Combat Applications Group, Fort Bragg, NC. The ballistic re-cycle d rubber blocks shall be manufactured with titanium and Kevlar bonded with the re-cycled rubber particles. The project will be two 360-degree live fire shoot houses at Ft. Bragg, NC. Responses are due no later than October 24, 2003.
