Description

NA The purpose of this specification is to describe the minimum requirements for two (2) C frame style punch press, to be installed by the contractor in Building 108 at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama, The presses must have a minimum capability of 120- tons, the strokes shall be a minimum of 12 inches, table shall be a minimum of 34 inches Left to Right x 22 inches Front to Back, bolster shall be a minimum of 4 inches thick and T slotted, must meet NFPA 79 electrical codes, presses must have area lights, presses must have all safety equipment installed and operable so to meet all OSHA requirements. The power for the presses must be 3 Phase, 60 cycle, 480 volts. The equipment must fit through a 12 ft x 12 ft roll-up door, the machines shall have a positi ve ram stop and return and the machines shall have a ram jog to utilize during set-up. Installation and Training shall be provided for the machines. Installation is to be completed within 120 calendar days after contract award. Training is to be complet ed within 5 calendar days after installation. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. North American Industrial Classification System Code is 811310 and the size standard is $5.0M. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://www.procnet.anad.army.mil (Doing Business wi th Us). Estimated issue date is 30 October 2003. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejections of the same. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
