- NA The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703 previously issued a pre-solicitation notice for the NextGen II, Phase IV, Lithium Manganese Dioxide Rectangular Battery Group, on 03 June 2003, under Solicitation No. DAAB07-03 -R-A267. This solicitation was never formally release in Fiscal Year (FY) 03. Due to a change in Government Fiscal Years and in accordance with an administrative change for re-numbering Solicitation Numbers in FY 04, Solicitation No. DAAB07-03-R-A267 has been changed to W15P7T-04-R-C005. CECOM proposes to procure the following batteries: BA-X590, BA-X588, BA-X112, BA-X557 and the BA-X598 using Request for Proposal w/hardware samples as the proposal method. The best value proposal(s) will be determined pur suant to the Basis of Award as set forth in Section M of the solicitation. The Government intends to award two (2), five (5) year Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. Award of these contracts are to made based on a 60%/40% split of the requirement. The 60% portion is reserved for domestic sources and the 40% portion is subject to full and open competition. Submittal of proposals to the Government shall be through the Interactive Business Opportunities Page (BOP), A rmy Single Face to Industry (ASFI). All comments to the RFP/attachments are to be submitted in writing by electronic media to john.adamitis@us.army.mil and malinda.lazenby@us.army.mil. All interested parties must register to use the IBOP, in order to acc ess, operate, send/receive information. The due date specified in this notice will be overridden by the due date specified in the solicitation, once issued. Offerors are encouraged to download and review all related documents for this solicitation, which will be posted on the IBOP, accessible at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. All documents are currently in draft form and will remain so until the solicitation becomes final. Documents for this solicitation will be posted on the IBOP as they become availa ble. Offerors should look under the new Solicitation No. W15P7T-04-R-C005, on the IBOP for any updated draft documents.All potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the IBOP on a regular basis for any updates to the solicitations. It is also recom mended that potential offerors sign up for the solicitation specific mailing list on the IBOP.
