Description
Air Force Research Laboratory, (AFRL/IFSD ) solicits research proposals for the Advanced Decision Environment Technology (ADET) program. The objective of the Advanced Decision Environment Technology (ADET) program is to develop and demonstrate revolutionary and evolutionary technologies integral to supporting global information and knowledge sharing; providing decision-makers with integrated analysis and simulation tools for tactical and strategic planning and operations; enabling advanced distributed Command and Control (C2); and supporting distributed, collaborative embedded C2 training and mission rehearsal. The 21st century warfighter will function in an integrated information and knowledge-centric universe. Information technology, collaborative communications, virtual environments, and domain specific tools will be combined to create complex distributed enterprises for decision support. The ADET program will develop and demonstrate technologies integral to achieving this vision. Advanced decision environments are a key enabling technology for 21st Century enterprises, and will support a number of future Air Force and joint missions. ADET will employ an evolutionary technology development methodology in key technology areas, where software updates, testing, and demonstrations occur on a periodic basis throughout the life of the program. For convenience, the ADET program is subdivided into the following five technology areas: a) Advanced Decision Support Technology, b) Knowledge Discovery and Information Management, c) Collaborative Information and Knowledge Sharing Tools for the Warfighter, d) Integrated Predictive Modeling and Simulation Environments, and e) Decision Sup[port Special Projects.Interested offerors may view and/or download the full PRDA solicitation by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) homepage at http://www.fbo.gov/.
