- This solicitation (FA8505-03-R-21090) is initiated to obtain a firm fixed price requirements contract for repair of AVQ-20 HUD LENSES used on F-15 ACFT. Item 1 ? NSN: 6650-00-299-1839FX (Pre-Production units-unqualified sources only), P/N: J72B0001-1 Lens, 2-ea; Item 2- NSN: 6650-00-299-1839FX, P/N: J72B0001-1 Lens, BEQ 30 ea; Item 3-NSN: 6650-00-326-8130FX, P/N: J72B0002-1 Lens, BEQ 2 ea; Item 4-NSN: 6650-01-275-8561FX, P/N: J72B0004-1 Lens, BEQ 2 ea; Item 5-NSN: 6650-00-2292-9106FX, P/N: J72B0003-1 Lens, BEQ 2 ea. An unmounted, transparent, color free lens which may be treated with low reflection coating to increase light transmission. The polished major surfaces are shaped so that they serve to change the degree of convergence of the transmitted rays. Lenses designed specifically for photographic function and to control, modify, and contribute to the formulation of an optical image on a photographic emulsion, diode gun tube, on light sensitive semiconductor elements, or on a screen for viewing, but may be enclosed in a structural member, such as cell, barrel, cone, shutter, or any combination predicated on the engineered function of the item name. The approximate issue / response date will be 30 Nov 2003. No telephone request. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. This acquisition may/does involve technology that has a military or space application. The only US contractors who may participate are those that are certified and registered with DLSC (1-800-352-3572) and have a legitimate business purpose. See notes 1, 8, 26.
