- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to modify existing purchase order N00140-03-P-1674 with Xerox Corporation to perfom copier maintenance and repair services, excluding repair parts and supplies, onboard the USS Harry S. Truman, during deployment and while in port, for the period 1 November 2003 through 30 September 2004. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Xerox Corporation is the only known company with the experienced and specialized customer service engineers trained to perform customized assembly, disassembly, mounting, engineering, maintenance and repair of Xerox copier equipment in a shipboard environment. Interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to respond to the Government?s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract extension based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received.
