- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to negotiate a non-competitive contract with Kenton County Fiscal Treasurer, 303 Court Street, Covington, KY 41011, for rental of 80 parking spaces for the period 10/01/2003 through 09/30/2004 at 303 Court Street, Covington, KY. The parking spaces shall be available 7 days a week, on a 24-hour per day basis. The parking spaces shall be of a standard size to accommodate medium and large size automobiles, passenger vans, and pick-up trucks. The entire parking area must have adequate lighting for night parking. The pavement and markings of the area shall be in good repair for the safety of Government employees and visitors. Two exits/entrances to the parking facility shall be available for easy access. Kenton County, or their designee shall be responsible for painting and general repairs and cleaning of the parking facility. CANCELLATION: Kenton County has the right to cancel the purchase order by providing at least 30 calendar days advance written notice to the Contracting Officer. Historically, the Kenton County Garage has been the only parking facility within reasonable walking distance of the Cincinnati IRS Center, its Gateway Customer Service Site, and overflow Processing Site that is large enough to accommodate IRS' needs. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Services are being solicited and awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. Written response to this synopsis should be received within 5 days of this announcement, and should include sufficient documentation to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Documentation must establish that you have parking facilities within a reasonable distance from the IRS facility and large enough to accommodate IRS' needs. Written response will be used to determine if this acquisition will be made competitive. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
