- Miscellaneous drydock repairs to the NOAA vessel RAINIER. Vessel characteristics : welded steel hull, 231 feet in length, breadth of 42 feet, draft of 14.3 feet, 1800 ton displacement. Work will include, but not be limited to: ABS five year loadlines inspections; Inspections and repairs of the main propulsion shafting and propellers, Bow thruster, Anchor chains, Main shaft syntron seals, Cathodic suppression system, Sea valves, Fuel manifolds, and Rudders; Load testing of davits and cranes, HVAC cleaning, Overhaul of port and starboard main SW strainers, Underwater hull and freeboard preservation; Sandblast and recoating of the Potable water tanks, Greywater tanks, Forepeak tank and Hot water tank; Repairs to shower decks and liners; Installation support for upgraded CPP control system and aft crane hydraulic conversion; and Gangway modifications. Anticipated period of performance January 12, 2004-March 1, 2004. Vessel available for inspection in Seattle, Washington at NOAA?s Marine Operations Center from December 8-12, 2003. This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Size limit for small businesses is 1,000 employees. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration.
