Description
This acquisition is for the following item: NSN: 1680-00-760-7805GA, P/N: SYLC9868, Noun: Actuator, Electro-mechanical, applicable to the UH-1N. FUNC: Increase or decrease engines RPM as pilot requires. The basic quantity is 5 each. There will be a basic year option range of 1-10. There will be two out-year options. The first outyear option will be a quantity range of 1-5. The second outyear option will be a quantity range of 1-5. No technical data is available for manufacturing. Destination: Robins AFB GA 31098. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. See WEB page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ . To Smiths Aerospace Inc- Electronic System, (CAGE 05624), 1354 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, IL 61111. Justification: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1), Only One or a Limited number of Responsible Sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
