- Description
- The United States Air Force Academy proposes to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) for the purchase of a Portable Photosynthesis System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received from vendors who have the capability to meet and/or provide the requirement will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The acquisition is unrestricted. This acquisition is considered commercial in nature and award terms will be based on FAR 12.The proposed purchase is for one (1) each, Portable Photosynthesis System, mfg. number LI-6400. The manufacturer is LI-COR, Inc., 4421 Superior Street, Lincoln, NE 68504-1395. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, business size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to award a contract to LI-COR, Inc. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if received within the following time frame, shall be considered. Responses are due not later than 4:00 P.M. (MST), October 20, 2003. The government proposes to to issue a contract to LI-COR, Inc. if a response to this notice is not received by the closing date and time.
