- PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING IRS. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is planning an acquisition, to be awarded by the end of fiscal year 2004, to replace IRS?s current multiple copier contracts with approximately three new national copier contracts, each for a base year with four option years. IRS currently has an inventory of almost 4,000 copiers in approximately 750 facilities nationwide. IRS is considering an Operating Lease Plan for these new national contracts. In order to be considered eligible for possible award of one of these contracts, vendors are hereby advised they may need to be able to provide a quote under the Operating Lease Plan SIN of GSA Schedule 36. Vendors are advised to contact GSA directly about getting onto this GSA Schedule. IRS cannot add vendors to this schedule itself and IRS will not forward any vendor submissions or queries to GSA. Details about the IRS Statement of Work will be available from IRS at a later date, which has not yet been determined. No solicitation is available at this time. The purpose of this announcement is to afford interested vendors notice and time to get on the GSA schedule IRS may use to place these awards on.
