Description

Defense Supply Center Richmond awarded a contract to Yates International of Spijkenisse, Holland to supply various industrial gases in Exchange and Filled Cylinders to support gas requirements in Germany and throughout Europe. Yates is responsible for the delivery of the Exchange and Filled Cylinders as well as complete refurbishment of empty gas cylinders of various sizes and of various gas types. The Current contract provides for the supply of Human Respiration Air, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Aviator's Breathing Oxygen, Technical Oxygen and Sulfur Hexafluoride (25, 40 and 100 pound quantities). DSCR will be negotiating with Yates International in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 in order to add Acetylene (10, 40, 190 and 225 CF) quantities; Helium (216 CF in Grades A and B); Propane (20, 40 and 100 pound quantities) and an additional Sulfur Hexafluoride (24 pounds). Yates International is the only known source which can provide filled and exchange gas cylinders in Europe along with complete refurbishment of all sizes of Industrial Gas cylinders in accordance with DOT requirements as well as disposal of unservicable cylinders.
