- Description
- This is a synopsis only. The contractor shall perform Packing and Crating Services for the Department of Defense personnel relocating to and from RAF Alconbury, UK to consist of shipping and or storage and related services of personal property through the Direct Procurement Method. This is an unrestricted procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 488991. This will be a Request for Proposal. Award will be made on the Best Value to the government in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed offer. The solicitation will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities on or about 10 Nov 03, which can be accessed at http://www.eps.gov/. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any subsequent addendum(s). Paper copies of the solicitation are not available. The only method for receipt of proposals shall be in written form that complies with the guidelines contained in the solicitation. Proposals may be sent to the attention of Rob Wilson at the 423rd Contracting Squadron, Bldg 542, RAF Alconbury, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 4DA Royal Mail or US post 423rd Contracting Squardon, Unit 5720 PSC 47, APO AE 09470. Ensure all proposal envelopes are marked SOURCE SELECTION SENSITIVE and the Solicitation number FA5570-04-R0001 is referenced on it and all additional correspondence pertaining to this requirement. Facsimile proposals are accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. If the solicitation is posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about 10 Nov 03, the closing date for proposals will be 4:30 P.M. GMT on 10 Dec 03.
