- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue a Request For Quotation (RFQ) for contractor services to provide folder relocation services. The contractor will relocate boxes of SSA folders from SSA?s Megasite in Baltimore, Maryland, and SSA?s Northeastern Program Service Center in Jamaica, New York, to SSA?s National Record Center in Independence, Missouri for a period of 12 months, beginning November 24, 2003, or date of award, whichever is later, with four one-year options. The contractor will provide all services and materials (including transportation) to move boxes as requested by SSA from Baltimore MD and Jamaica NY to Independence MO. SSA is acquiring these services under the authority of the test program for commercial items in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.6. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 484121 ($21.5 MIL). Only offers from individuals or business concerns that qualify as small businesses will be accepted. SSA's RFQ is scheduled for release on or about November 15, 2003, with quotations due 7 days later. You may download the solicitation (SSA-RFQ-04-0074) on or about November 15, 2003 at the Federal procurement website FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). The Contracting Officer will not provide any paper copies of the solicitation. SSA will not respond to telephone, mail or email requests for the RFQ.
