- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) proposes to issue a solicitation for a Government subsidized/contractor operated Child Development Center (childcare facility). The facility will accommodate 168 children, ages six weeks to six years. There will be three categories of care: mixed-age infant (six weeks to two years), toddler (two-three years) and pre-school (three years to six years). Services provide will be developmental in nature with appropriate staff, equipment, materials and programs. The facility will be staffed with professionally qualified child development management personnel and trained care giving employees. Care provided to children will foster and develop a child?s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional capabilities. The facility must pass an annual inspection to obtain certification from the Department of Defense, as will as obtain accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. A one-year contract with four one-year option periods is anticipated. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
