- CONTACT DAVE JONES 530-621-5248, WITH TECHNICAL QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS SOLICITATION. This solicitation is for the rehabilitation of Sugar Pine Point and Bear River Group campgrounds. The work includes clearing, demolition/removal of existing toilets and campsite furnishings, road rehab including placement of aggregate base & barrier rocks, leveling & improvements to campsites and spurs including placement of Class IV riprap on fill slopes, installation of pre-fabricated toilets, placement of culvert & other minor drainage work, installation of signage, installation of water tank, waterline & faucet units. The estimated price range is $500,000 - $1,000,000. The non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 30, 2003 at 10:00am. The meeting location will be the Sugar Pine Point Campground. Driving directions are: Travel East from the City of Jackson on Highway 88 approximately 35 miles to Bear River Reservoir Road (Forest Road 08), turn right (go south) and travel approximately 1-1/2 miles to Bear River Resort Road, turn left and travel East past the resort entrance for approximately 2-1/4 miles to Sugar Pine Point Campground. To access the other site (Bear River Campground), proceed from the intersection of Forest Road 08 and the Bear River Resort Road south, across the Reservoir dam to Forest Road 81, turn left and go approximately ? miles to the Bear River Group Campground entrance. SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. MEETING IN OCTOBER IS TO VIEW LOCATION BEFORE SNOW FALLS. The solicitation will be posted on January 13, 2004, with a response date of February 12, 2004, at close of business.
