Description
UPDATE on October 21, 2003: The CDC has delayed the release of the RFP. Previously we had planned to release it on October 15, 2003; however, we have run into numerous displays. We hope to release it within the next two weeks. SYNOPSIS OF CDC CONSUMER RESPONSE SERVICES PROGRAM: FULFILLMENT 1. Action Code: P 2. Date: 09-24 3. Year: 03 4. Opening/Closing Response Date: Anticipated RFP release date is between October 1 and October 15, 2003. Closing date will be 30 to 45 days thereafter. 11. Contract Award Date: Anticipated to be March 31, 2004. 16. Contractor: N/A 17. Description: This proposed procurement is part of a trio of contracts that the CDC intends to award to seamlessly manage and integrate its responses to inquiries about public health issues. Please also closely review the procurement packages for 2003-N-00709 and 2003-N-00997. This contract will necessarily interface with the Consumer Services Response Contact Center contractor to actually warehouse and distribute public health information in response to inquiries received through the Contact Center. These responses will likely take the forms of written information dissemination, electronic responses, and facsimile. This effort will involve warehousing, distribution, mailing services, e-communication, inventory management, staffing, planning, transitioning from current contractors, and close cooperation with the Contact Center Operation contractor and the Evaluation and Quality Control contractor. CDC is seeking solutions for a consolidated approach to print fulfillment to meet customer need. The overall purpose is to ensure that performance measurements are met and there is continuous improvement in the responsiveness and quality services. 18.
