POC : Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service, GovWorks ? 381 Elden Street Mailstop 2510 ? Herndon, VA 20170 Attn: Wally Norton : voice (703) 787-1281 ? fax (703) 787-1467 ? walter.norton@mms.gov The Minerals Management Service of the Department of Interior intends to issue a Sole Source Task Order Award for the Department of Defense Office of the Under Secretary for Logistics and Materiel Readiness (ODUSD L&MR) to BearingPoint, Inc. The Task Order will be issued against GSA schedule GS-35F-4338D. The Period of Performance is 10 November 2003 through 31 January 2004. Follow on Periods of Performance are anticipated and will be added to the Task Order when properly identified and funded. The effort of the Award is to support the ODUSD L&MR's Future Logistics Enterprise (FLE). The FLE's primary objective is to ensure consistent, reliable support that meets warfighter requirements through enterprise integration and end-to-end customer service. The Enterprise's architecture consists of three parts: an operational architecture, a systems architecture, and a technical architecture. The three parts will develop into a data architecture. BearingPoint was the initial the initial contractor and has performed all follow-on efforts for the 2 ? years that the effort has been in effect. In addition, BearingPoint has developed the specialized knowledge about the ADUSD L&MR and its complex processes and programs for future smooth transitions to additional Periods of Performance. It is imperative that the contractor be able to begin work and function independently with no delays. BearingPoint is the only contractor that possess this ability.
