- Description
- VA intends to enter into a contract with The National Academy of Science via a Cost Reimbursement Task Order Contract to provide various health and scientific/engineering related studies. Periodically, Congress requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to enter into a Sole Source agreement with the National Academy of Science (NAS) to provide these Studies. This Task Order contract will serve as the contractual mechanism for all of these future agreements. VA will issue separate task orders for each study required by Congress, in accordance with the applicable Public Law that requires the study. Additionally studies of this nature are periodically required to meet the agency mission. In these cases, the study may be completed under this contract, FAR Part 6.302-5 ( c ) Limitations (iii) (B). Each Task Order will have its own Legislative Authority, and Statement of Work that details the study that is to be provided by NAS.
